November Birthdays !

We went down to Chicago for my 30th birthday.  The weather was amazing for mid November, high 50's to mid 60's.  We went as a family; Croix's first vacation and our first vacation as a family!
We had such a great time!

We stayed at The Saks hotel right next door to The House of Blues in downtown Chicago.  The bellhop on Friday helped get us a king size room on the 12th floor and it was a nice room:-)
We went and took pictures at the Bean and of course Grant park at Buckingham Fountain even though it was off. We even saw a rainbow there. The weather was amazing. A little rain Saturday but didn't keep us down. We walked everywhere, which was a lot on old man Chaz;) We even visited Blake and Esther and met their 3 week old daughter Nami, she snoozed the while time.
We also ate at Grahamwich and Yolk, Yolk was delish! Grahamwich our fav was the cinnamon stick ice cream and truffle popcorn.
We ate at Bandera for dinner Saturday night and it was so good! Croix did a great job waiting for 45 minutes until we could be seated. Chaz got ribs mashed potatoes and even the coleslaw he liked! I got rotisserie chicken with super good Mexican rice. We also got a bowl of chicken and black bean chili that was good. it was worth the wait. and Croix did a great job:-)

We were going to go to The Shed Aquarium Sunday but there was a Bears game and we were told they charge $50 just to park because its by Solider Field and time would have been tight, of course on the way out we hit up Discount Aldo and Pasadita.
Croix was a trooper! He did such a good job and loved all the action.

The next Saturday after we got home we went out to eat for my mom and my birthday at Cheesecake Factory.  You guessed it, Croix did great :) It was nice to have to have us all together and enjoy a nice dinner.

Look Who's 4 months

Looks who's 4 months!
He continues to roll more and more tummy to back and is close to doing back to tummy. He talks more and more, chews on his hands A LOT, loves to move around and grab anything in your hands and put in this mouth!

We went for his check this past Tuesday (10.23.12) and he weighed 12 lbs 15 ozs, and was 25 inches long!   The doctor said we could start introducing cereal and solids. He also got round 2 of his vaccines :(  He did a great job though, stopped crying very shortly after.  He ran a lowgrade fever the next morning, but was a happy baby.

Best Buy Visit

(9.29.12) We had to get out of the house for a couple hours while Chaz did some chemical cleaning in the house to try and refresh the house from all the sickness from the week. We made a stop to visit our favorite Best Buy associate Courtney:)

Someone rolled over

Highlight of the week is that Croix rolled over! From tummy to back. Aunt Deb got it on video and sent to Chaz and I! What a strong little boy! Around 3 months my little bubbers rolled! :) Tummy to back.

Lisa's Sunday

This past Sunday we had Lisa's pizza over at Aunt Deb and Uncle Paul's. Nana and Nonnu came down as well. We asked Aunt Deb to be Croix's Godmother:) It was a nice end to a busy weekend.

Stinky cold

Croix fought his first little cold
this week (it's still lingering). Definitely no fun for anyone! Poor baby had a stuffy nose, watery eyes, cough, and sneezing. It made it hard for him to go to sleep:( Chaz went out and bought a NoseFrida or Snot Sucker and boy does it suck the snot out. Love that thing. Croix seems to actually like it now that he knows it helps him.
This week he's also made the transition to some of his 6 month clothing. I really need to weigh him. My baby is definitely growing; so bittersweet. He also was doing little laughs while daddy made funny faces at him:) So freaking cute:-) I wish I would have pulled out the phone to get a quick video but some moments you just get caught in.
Though sick he still had a good week at daycare:) Here are some picture from the week.

3 months

Croix is officially 3 months today! (9.22.12)
He is getting stronger, still likes to suck on his hand/fingers, though he does take his pacifier more often these days, he likes looking in the mirror, smiling, grab his foot, and continues to find his voice (I love it). He is starting to roll to his side and still enjoys being outdoors:)

Made it, barely

Well I made it through week 1, let's leave it at that. Well, I'll be open, it was exhausting!
On only day 4 I already took a personal day. A day to "regroup" I like to think of it as. The first few days of work have been very trying on me. One time I even forgot to connect the bottles when pumping. Yikes!

On a happier note, my aunt sends me pictures and videos during the day:) This certainly helps me make it through the day and helps me feel like I know what's he's doing:-) Croix is enjoying himself and meeting new friends.

First pair of Nikes

My mom, Nana, came over this past weekend to visit while Chaz went to the Brewers game with some friends. She brought with her a pair of Nikes for Croix:) So cute!

I also ventured out clothes shopping for Croix and I on Sunday. I took Croix with me while Chaz grocery shopped. (I had been wanting to do this before I went back to work. I hadn't shopped for non-maternity clothes since I found out I was pregnant. Also, Croix needed some warmer fall clothes). He did a great job! I had to take him out of the stroller only a couple times and used the carrier for the second store (yes I made it to two!) but most of the time he was content and even happy and actually took his pacifier. I love him so much.
